I'll help Ron with Safety if you want to have two people. Can also do secondary (or primary, is Jeremy going to be there?) Novice Coordinator.

This is the second mention I've seen of an August event, but still nobody has started a topic on it... and as far as I know, no one has asked Steve to see if there is a site available. If you want it to happen, get on it!

I'd suggest starting another thread on the topic. But, if you can find enough support for the notion, I bet you could talk Steve into allowing a non-points special event in August.

I didn't see another post about this, and I don't think I should be the one to start it, but I vote for this as well.

That said, any date we were to get in August would be scarcely enough time to throw together a battle-x, and is getting tight to get any event together at all. So, IF someone wants to suggest we do not take a month off, it's time to make it official. IF you do choose to make it official, please start another thread. I'd like to remind that we have a two day event coming up in October, which might be a better time to plan a battle-x. There's already a thread on two days in October that we can revive when the time comes. None of this is official rule, just my .02 8)

Mike I just got your PM message about lunch, (my inbox was full) do you still need help with lunch or is it covered? I injured my finger pretty bad last week, so getting lunch would be better than doing set up, let me know. I forgot to register, but by the look of the number of people signed up I shouldn't have any problem getting in.

It's an SPC event, pre-registration isn't required.

We only need one person dedicated to wiring up the timer.
Nonspec325 wrote:I can do timing if you want to move me from tear down...
If you want to pull a shift working in timing, we always welcome people willing to learn (or who already know) the system.

I'll bet we get a fair number of walk-ons. Sam may be there to co-drive the Miata, depending on whether he's slept off the jet lag...with teenagers, that can take a couple of days!
