There has to be. Unless it really is just barely faster than a crappy old Mustang. :snicker:

Anyway, Land Yacht eh? Ha ha ha... Ok no more talk, we'll settle that on the course at TBD :)
Ok, ok, I took it as you thought you had a chance at the championship.

Though I am still surprised/disheartened that a 400hp+ 1LE Camaro is classed in S3.

If you read the specs on the 1LE (like I did mistakenly thinking it is the upgraded ZL1 model) the suspension upgrades have the "stock" springs. ANY modern Cam Arrow can put on the bolt on stuff and still be S3 legal in FAST. It is what it is. I like the newest Cam Arrow but so far am too cheap to buy one. Thinking tho' about the 300hp 6 used :read:

I plan on beating all of you at TBD with a Whale :salute: They're off. I haven't even done the max allowed under FAST rules yet:)

Now you know how I felt Alex back in 2007 when the SCCA put the shelby in FS, pretty much killing any chance I had at winning in FS with my 1 year old 06 GT. In the right hands (Sam strano) he could post times faster than the guys in SS in a shelby gt. So image how those guys felt  If you look at the SCCA national championship, the shelby STILL trophy's at nationals! So I'm not really sure why there should be an issue, besides I bumped you out of second place. Your running in a modified 20 year old foxbody and doing pretty darn well! Drop some weight on that foxbody and you should be running times that mike and I run and competing for the championship.

I had NO idea the 1LE would do this well. I figured I'd still be chasing Mike!

Yeah, it might be one of the few S3 cars that's just "really good" out of the box, and happens to be pretty well driven.

But, it doesn't take 400 hp to win that class. A person could certainly spend a LOT less than new 1LE money to come up with a car that could win in that class. (I'd guess about 80% less) Doug has nailed it. Start with one of the LIGHTER cars that has decent power-to-weight. Do the class-legal suspension mods and actually TUNE the suspension with what you have available (don't just throw a parts catalog at the car and expect to win). Decide what final drive ratio will best suit the car, and be sure you put an LSD in with it. Spend the money for an appropriate wheel and tire package to put it all down.

Put stock springs back on freakin' Drew's freakin' Mustang... S3 would be a different scene.

That's why I bought the car. I made a short list of cars to buy/race, and the miata didn't make it only because it doesn't drag race well.

My original intention was to buy a car, keep it in the stock class and autox/solo1/drag the car.
But the fast rules for stock classes have allowed me to step on that slope that allows mods to the car. The last mod, the boss cover, really thru off the balance of the car. I never did get it dialed in. The next classic will allow me to tune the car again.

As for cheaper cars to beat up on the 1LE....I almost traded in my focus for a 2013 base GT with the track kit and Recaros. $32K was the list price with incentives. Boss said no. It was even the right color. black.

The goal for me this year was to sneak up on Drew and his damn mustang.

Hey, our car is a bone stock Super Stalker, except for some used Avons up front and some corded AR's in the rear :dunno:

Looks like the Euro guys just plain walked on the rest of us with a total of 19 entries!

How should I go about choosing the three winners?
Before I forget again and all the Euro guys start hating me... I had my lovely and impartial wife draw numbers and came up with the winners:
#2 - Matt Brooks
#852 - Doug Buckheim
#113 - William Hriskonich

Congrats to those guys, and thanks to the Euro guys for bringing their friends!

Emailing the winners now...

The firewall at my work blocked this website due to it being "pornography", lol. Were there nude models at the afternoon session that I wasn't aware of?!?!

Hmm.... Jay Stannard's Lotus looks sort of nude, for a car.

Sarah took some really nice photos. Go to the page and find your car at the last big wall left turn before the finish and see if you were early or late. You had to prepare for that turn well in advance to get it right.
