According to the entry list, Danny Shields has registered... I need to swing a ride with him to pick up some tips.

Better yet, we can probably talk him into doing a group course walk...he's done it for other (non-FAST) events.

Elliot Harvey's registered for this one, too -- also a blindingly fast driver. I don't know if the roadster is set up for passengers, but if he brings the Sentra, ask for a ride.

We still have not a single person committed to helping out after the event. I guess we'll just leave it all on the runway.

Elliot has been registered for the last 2 events at the B-ville, and not shown. I would like to see him show up for this one, it would probably look really good for us to have 2 of the "big guys" attend.

Sounds good to me. I'll collect the timer stuff though, we can't have that sitting out.

Normally I'd switch to cleanup instead of early duty but I already had to reschedule mothers day dinner to later so I could make the event.. sorry man, can't stay late here :(

Yeah, I think that's what everybody is doing.

< Not directed at you >

I have to get home to St. Pete, shower, and make it down to Palmetto for dinner with Mom too! We usually quit before 4PM.

By "help", I mean things that take about 5 minutes (or more if you can offer the time!). Like:

* empty the coolers' ice/water into the grass and stack them up near the trailer...LEAVE!
* walk the 1st 20-30% of the course and stack all of the cones into 1 pile...LEAVE!
* stack up all staging lane cones... LEAVE!
* stack up all finish line cones + 10% of course finish area... LEAVE!
* look around for abandoned water bottles + cans + papers, empty or not, and throw them away in the bag... LEAVE!
* check with timing people, then power off the generator and coil its long cord into the bin attached to the trailer. Get another person and carry the generator over closer to the trailer... LEAVE!

Assuming I actually make it there, I'll be able to help with clean up.

Darn! I thought it was closing today so I'm not registered.

Hope y'all have a great time (without me).

I'm usually around 'til the end, so I'm another body to help pick up.

I was under the assumption that my brother and I were going to be signed up for this one, due to the fact that we paid and ended up having to attend a funeral at 10:00 a.m. in Orlando that same day. I apologize, I should have checked in w/ you guys. Is there anyway that My brother, Joey, and I could come to this Autocross? If so, please let me know, I do apologize for not getting to you sooner. We would greatly appreciate it,
Thanks,

Registration isn't automatic -- you still need to go to the MAE website and enter. We normally list the events a couple of months ahead, even before they're formally announced -- feel free to put your entries in early.

Your payment for the event you missed will carry over to the next event you run, whenever that is.

I am quite aware that there is no automatic registration. I made a bad assumption that we would be registered for the next available due to our situation, my bad. I also know that "events are normally listed a couple of months ahead," but thanks for the reiteration. I'll make sure we put our entries in early next time.

I have fixed my broken seat bolt and am confident in it's safety, so I will definitely be there this weekend.
Jeff, I am usually there early for setup and late for cleanup as well, so you can count on one more for either or both.
