Local inventory of fixed-back seats

Postby shakedown067 » Fri Aug 26, 2011 1:06 pm

Anyone know of a shop that's open on Saturdays that carries Corbeau or Sparco seats that has a decent stock to check my fitment in the area? I'd really like to get new seats for the vette in the near future, but not confident in what my big ass can fit into. Would be nice to not have to pay shipping either....

I'm currently looking at the FX-1 (not the pro)

Or the Sparco Chrono Sport

I'd like the chrono sport as it looks like it'll work best with the stock 3-point belts, but still have much better support, and isn't leather! Just not sure if my waist will remotely fit comfortably in it....Am open to other options as well.

Last time I was at Gearhead (Ulmerton and 19) they had a few.

I have the FX1 Pro's in my 240 but I'll be out of town for the next event so it would be the event after if you wanted to check them out.

I know the Pros are 1.5" narrower in the back and 2" narrower in the front but it might give you an idea how far off you'd be to squeeze into the larger FX1. The depth is the same on the FX1+Pro. They also sell a "FX1 big-boned" model.

P.S. - Jeremy fits in the Pro's but not by much I don't think.

I've actually sat in yours Charles. It was a tight squeeze and I'd probably have to crawl out of the car to be able to get out with the pro model. The standard FX1 will be a tight squeeze into the car, but should be a good squeeze on me. I may have to hop in yours again to make sure though, so thanks for the offer (maybe I can shed a few pounds before october's event, LOL).
