My registration

Postby Impuls » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:08 pm

So my registration for the Sept 15th autocross, was done the week after registations opened Aug 15th. Yet somehow I'm not on the list? And it's full now. Sigh :(

I'm gotta go back in my bank account history to see if I was charged.

I don't have any registration notification emails for Johnson, you probably didn't complete the registration process. Sorry, dude.

On my bank statement it usually says "paypal/myautoevents" I have no idea if that's universal or not.

Maybe look for $30 on the day you think you registered.

The system is usually pretty darn reliable. I'm thinking Loren is probably right.

MAE sends a confirmation e-mail to both person registering and the registrar (which is what Loren was checking). PayPal also sends a confirmation e-mail after a transaction.

Not weird at all. You registered for a permanent number.

Well, thank you all.
I'm pretty pissed at myself now tho. All this time I thought I was good.
I could care less about numbers, blah

Well, at least you know what number you'll get at any future events you successfully register for. No blue tape for you! No sir-ee!!

Hahaha I know right?! Now I can get fancy magnets or even some vinyl.
Sigh kicking myself in the butt for now double checking. I might still come and volunteer myself to be a worker.

There's no way to have it auto register is there? :(

No auto-registration. But, 70+ people manage to register every month, it's not that hard.

On our website (right sidebar), you can subscribe for an email reminder when registration opens. Such is the limit of our hand-holding.

The more important thing here is that you registered for a Permanent Number without realizing it, which means you DIDN'T READ any of the event info. Didn't even skim it enough to notice the giant bold green text at the top of the page that said "Permanent Numbers". Being a little less click-happy would have gotten you registered for this event.

All's well that ends well. There was a cancellation last night and Nick was able to snag the slot.
