. Of course it couldn't happen without a bunch of help from "The Usual Gang of Idiots" and everyone else that worked today. 
I finally have my car set up to compete, and it ran really well, but unfortunately the driver isn't quite there yet.
Really enjoyed the course, though I thought I only had one DNF but the scoring showed I had two. Looking at the video I find that the camera doesn't lie, for some reason I kept going to the outside of the second gate on the return after the slalom! 
I'm going to blame missing that gate twice on the sunglasses that John sold me, he didn't tell me that it would limit my peripheral vision. 
As far as the split part of the event goes, I think it went pretty well, everyone showed up on time and was ready to go for the most part. There was a minor issue during late registration; a couple cars had guests that weren't registered and were not allowed in. The registered drivers understood and didn't cause any fuss, but they had to leave because their guests couldn't come in.
I was a little concerned how the "shift change" was going to play out, from what I saw working registration, everything went fine and everyone that was waiting for the early event to leave was very patient. I'm hoping in the future that once we get the early and late groups more streamlined, we can squeeze out another run for a total of 6 runs. I understand this is the first time doing this and the schedule was stretched a bit to allow for any unknowns that may have popped up. Maybe we could start a little earlier in the morning ? I know that I really could have used another run since I really didn't have a full grasp of my car and course until after the 4th run. I guess I'm just spoiled !
Still, it was a fun day, and I finally had a blast driving my car for the first time in a while !
Then Adjusting the front swaybar to the tighter setting really helped the feel of the car.
