October 13 - Tampa Bay Downs

Postby Loren » Thu Sep 19, 2013 7:18 pm

Registration for October is open, and has 15 registered within the first hour! This could be another one of those fast-filling FAST events. Don't say I didn't warn you.

WTF. I will be in Connecticut footing the bill (at least part of it) for son's wedding -- so no autocross for me. Towing is up for grabs!

I'm in and the bimmer is already fixed. Crankshaft position sensor was the culprit and amazingly, I got one locally.

Less than 6 hours in and we're at 31 for the Early and 13 for the late.

We do need someone to haul the trailer. Let me know if you're up for it.

Time to get back to it, I'm in!!! :thumbwink: Any suggestions on tires? Mine are currently two and a half year old direzza Z1's that are hard and wearing really low. I'm gonna get something before this event, just not sure what to get.

That topic got pretty cluttered. I've narrowed it down to ZII's or Rivals. I'll probably try the Rivals since the Dunlops have insane responsiveness and require delicate steering input. I have more of a less refined might I even say barbaric driving style. It seems like M0 has collapsed so I've registered for M1 to hang out with that Jeremy guy :thumbwink:

Current registration count is 42/20. The Early session is almost full. Get in there if that's where you want to be!

Paid my fee!

Just upgraded to SS braided brake lines and fresh ATE Superblue...maybe that will improve my times...that's the ticket! (or maybe look ahead like one supposed to when driving a car!)

Yeah, you want to do it?

(and Tim, those have got to be the blingiest brakes I've ever seen on an autocross car!)
