I've got a short list of potential "more than 6 event" novices to go over with Steve. (you were already on that list) I'll give you a healthy "probably" for now and get back to you soon.

I'm more excited about this than I was my first even last week, or my next even on the 20th. :)

I enjoy learning new things. I enjoy driving. Combining the two?! Yes, please.

The FAST Novice School is a blast from both sides! Definitely a long day, but always very rewarding for all involved.

I've registered Sara Tinsley for the school. She'll WON"T drive her new to her Camry during the school, her tires are cheap all seasons but it will help her learn her car. She is afraid to push it. Ha.

The FAST Novice School is now officially 30 days away! We had to move the school to our Brooksville site. It's a little further from Tampa, but with LOTS more space available. There are still spots available, so if you've been thinking about it, get registered! And tell all your friends, this is a great opportunity to get started in motorsports!

I'm looking for guidance about which car I should bring. I have a Nissan that I really need help with. I'm comfortable driving it, but it's a handful on the track. It's set up to be out there, but it's too fast for me right now. I'm wondering if I should bring it or my husbands stock STI. I'm comfortable driving either, but for events I will primarily drive the Nissan.

You definitely want to drive whichever car you're more comfortable driving.

I noticed you'd registered with a turbo 240SX and was going to ask about it when I get around to polling the students before the school. If you can turn the boost down on the 240 so that it's more "tame", that might be the hot ticket. Otherwise, if it's "a handful", it's probably not the best car to try to learn the basics in.

Also, if the 240 isn't daily driven, you want to be sure you're bringing a car that's not going to have mechanical issues doing the equivalent of 10+ autocross events in one day. Reliable and easy to drive is what you want for the novice school.

It's not daily driven, but it is sound. We're making a couple changes to it this week. When we're done I'll take it out at 7psi, the minimum, and see how it does. I'll let you know if I decide to drive the Subaru. Thanks!

Also realize there won't be time to do any adjustments to the car -- except for lunch, there's not much downtime. You're either driving or watching others drill as your turn comes up. If it's not "right" when you bring it in, you're stuck having to drive around it, which isn't the best learning environment.

I registered. I am very excited to learn and try this motorsport. I am taking my full bolt on and bc coilover 335i. I was referred by a gentleman that drives a dark gray car very nice setup with a Continental tire banner on the windshield.

I don't know if I'd call Dave a "gentleman", but we'll take good care of you, Carlos!

Haha I don't know him though I was being polite. Just noticed his "I'd rather be autocrossing" plate frame so I asked where and he handed me a fast business card.
