Jan 13th SPC

Postby Solar » Tue Dec 18, 2007 4:31 pm

Since the school is sold out, shouldn't the registration for the 13th be open? I have a friend that wanted to enter the Jan 13th event but he couldn't register.

I'm back and ready to race. I'm up for the Jan 13th autocross at SPC. I've been out for a while so I'm sure I will be rusty.

Pre-registration is open! After students and staff from the school had the opportunity to register, there are a limited number of spots left. We'll probably take on a few walk-on registrations as well, but if you're set on coming out, don't leave it to chance!

We were getting ready to do some construction on our house at the end of the summer, then my Dad became terminal with cancer. He passed away a couple weeks ago. He lived in Michigan, so we made several trips up there which didn't leave much time for anything else.
But I'm glad to be back and ready to crush some cones!
I can work and drive this event if you are in need of anyone to help.

Count on us to get the trailer there (and back).

I guess the trailer can be left overnight since we have both days.

Thanks, Kenny, Jamie.

To others, a hint: course setup ought to be a breeze...

I would be willing to learn course safety just need someone to help me out!

I'm interested in learning tech (what is it: battery secure, nothing loose in car, wheels on tight, etc?). I can do course cleanup (usually do anyway). I can also do timing and scoring if you need someone to, I've done that before. I'll help with setup if I can get there early enough.

Brian - thanks. and Matt, too. I added you to tech, and hopefully a veteran techher will volunteer and can lead you through it. Scott, Course Marshaling is actually a position that requires a little training - something Loren has usually been willing to provide. Contact him (pm/email/at the event) and let him know you're into it and I'm sure he'll get you going.

I should be able to help with safety if needed. Loren, I'll contact you via email to see if it works best to train Scott H. this time or to polish some of my training.
