Hello!
My name is Carl and I registered for Sunday in my light blue Z3. It looks like a fun sport and from what I was reading last night everyone looks friendly. I can't wait to meet you all in person!

When you first get there (and try to get there earlier rather than later) find someone who appears to know what they are doing. If they are wearing a FAST shirt or have a FAST decal on their car, that's a person you want; a regular who has "been there, done that".
Ask if they can help you with a walk-thru of the course. Ask for a ride-along; you in their car or him in your car for your first run or two to help guide you through the course.
I've never heard of an "old hand" refusing requests for assistance.
As Loren said, you're going to have fun whether you want to or not!
(Isn't that what he said?)

I don't wear FAST apparel or have a FAST sticker on my car or look like I know what I'm doing... but I'm always happy to help.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Maybe a bunch of us can pitch in and buy Loren a sticker!
