NEWS FLASH: FAST Championship events will now be known as "FAST Open Events". Still the same split-format autocross with competition towards our annual championship, just with a name that makes it more clear that these are unrestricted events, open to all!

We're nearing the end of snowbird season, which means Tampa Bay Downs is becoming available to us again! :thumbleft:

Here are the basic event details:
  • This is a FAST Championship autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
  • Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all drivers, and closes 3 days before the event.
  • Driver entry fee is $37, guest entry fee is $6.
  • Guests are NOT required to register at Tampa Bay Downs unless they want to have lunch with us.
  • Guests can watch from Racetrack Park without registering or even signing in, you can bring your kids out! (but they have to stay in the park area)
  • This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8am-1pm or the Late Session 12pm-5pm, or both.
  • Lunch and drinks are included for all drivers and registered guests.

I'm in. Got the Nissan straightened out today, again, (bad cat, O2 sensor, blown resonator this time) hopefully this is the last issue for a while.

I will have family in town that weekend so can't stay all day (I would love to drive both sessions since this is on the doorstep for me)....

What is the limit for number of entries? I know brooksville has a site limit but I can't remember if that applies to TBD.

The limit is 50 drivers per session, which we sometimes fudge as far as 54 per session. That generally gives us about 45-50 drivers per session after no-shows, which is what the split format was designed around.

Remember, this event is NOT at the airport, so we don't have to close registration on Monday. Registration is open until Wednesday at 6pm. Tell all your friends!
