having a hard time installing my sparco seat

I dont know whats up with the seat or the sliders. the adjuster bar is hitting the seat so I cant even pull up to release the latch to the slide the seat

im either thinking of putting a spacer between the seat or the bracket needs to be bent. Which does have me confused. These are sparco sliders, according to their intstructions the bracket is supposed to be already bent down a little bit, but I think I needs a bit more than just a "little"

thoughts?
