This event needs a Chairperson. That lucky person/persons will have the joy of designing their own personal course, delegating duties to everyone during the day, and taking all the credit when it's done. Who's up for it?

Yesterday, there were 5 coolers FULL of soda and only about 6 waters in the coolers TOTAL - and they were still warm when it was time to head out and work the track for the first run group.
In the future, I suggest we dedicate at least one cooler to nothing but water and get it on ice as soon as possible in the moring.

We normally do, sometimes more than one. I noticed the beverage situation as well. We had some issues yesterday, no doubt. It's a learning experience for allLadyMaynie wrote:Yesterday, there were 5 coolers FULL of soda and only about 6 waters in the coolers TOTAL - and they were still warm when it was time to head out and work the track for the first run group.

Jamie: I'll help with registration or setup, whichever.

The coolers had the soda in them from last event when everything got wet. The soda boxes were no longer functional so the loose cans went in the coolers. Usually they get filled with water and ice in the morning and maybe one cooler with soda.

So at B'ville maybe someone could consolidate? Actually, there used to be a cooler of regular, one of diet, and one of water...
By the way, there's plenty of soda of all types. There's 7 cases of water left - probably get 5-6 more...I overheard someone say we're out of paper plates (which are nice to have but not necessary...). I didn't get a chance to check on that.

We usually do have one, and I'm sure we'll be sure and have one in the future. Any time there is a problem like that feel free to mention it to someone so it can be corrected, we had plenty of water on hand.LadyMaynie wrote:Yesterday, there were 5 coolers FULL of soda and only about 6 waters in the coolers TOTAL - and they were still warm when it was time to head out and work the track for the first run group.

I apologize for all of the issues we had yesterday, not much more to say than that.
I'd like to do tech at the next event please

First one's always a learning experience...it gets easier after that (or is it just that the beatings hurt less?!) Signed you up for tech, but you need to be there ready to work by 8...otherwise better to have a different job.MusicalDeity wrote:I apologize for all of the issues we had yesterday, not much more to say than that.

Mike: Please work out the supply list -- in addition to sodas, water, and ice, find out if we need radio batteries (or radios...we've had some go bad, how many are left operational?), dry erase markers, windshield markers (for the tech dots), paper products, etc. I remember scrounging around for all of these in April...don't know what's left.LadyMaynie wrote:Yesterday, there were 5 coolers FULL of soda and only about 6 waters in the coolers TOTAL...suggest we dedicate at least one cooler to nothing but water and get it on ice as soon as possible in the morning.
Are we using the new trailer now? Need someone to tow. If Bill and Bob Flowers are towing, I need someone to remind them to sign up before registration fills.
If the lunch volunteer comes up with something besides pizza and stays in budget, they're a hero....

Quick Question: Is there actually a need for a "course teardown" group at brooksville? 9 out of 10 times the workers in the last group stack the cones then someone with a truck just goes and gets them. I can see it for SPC since there is quite a bit of work there...

It doesn't hurt. While there are usually more volunteers than just the two signed up, it's helpful to count on at least two to stay and make sure everything's not just cleared off the course, but packed up in the trailer and secured (that's part of the assignment!), no matter what the conditions.Dave-ROR wrote:Quick Question: Is there actually a need for a "course teardown" group at brooksville?
