MG Tech in the Groj - Dec 2

Postby Loren » Wed Nov 29, 2023 1:02 am

I've got a long list of things to do on the MG. But, the first priority is to get the brakes fixed so that I can actually DRIVE it!

So, come help keep me motivated! Come work on your own stuff. Come learn stuff. Come hang out. Come help me eat lunch (the most important meal of the day). Come check out my new car!

Who: Me. You? Whomever.
What: Wrenching on the MG and whatever. Doing groj stuff.
Where: Loren's place in Safety Harbor (PM me if you need the address)
When: Saturday, December 2, 9am-4pm.
Why: I hate paying people to work on my cars!

On my list of things to possibly do:
Install new brake master cylinder on the MG.
Maybe tick off some of the other minor tasks on the MG to-do list

Who's coming? What else do we have to work on?

So far:
Me - MG Stuff
Steve - Probably something on his Toyota or his Miata

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Not a lot of turnout, but we got some things done. Steve installed some upgraded mirrors on his truck. And I got the brakes working on the MG and took it for its first drive. Lots more to do with it, but at least I can drive it now!

Cathy made cookies, as she tends to do. They were awesome. Steve and I grabbed some Cuban food for lunch.

Philip called and said he might come. He didn't. But, then somebody rolled up on a motorcycle. We couldn't figure out who it was until the helmet came off. It was Freakin' Drew! On a BMW!
