Help Wanted for novice school - free seat time!

Postby Native » Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:33 pm

Ok, we've got the instructors lined up, but still need 5 or 6 folks to volunteer to help out over the course of the day - general autocross jobs, like timing, starting, coaching students on the finer points of cone-shagging, safety, that type of thing.

Need a real committment - if you volunteer, plan on being there! It's Sunday, March 11, at SPC. Need you there about 7:30, 8 at the latest...

In return - free seat time!!! And the satisfaction of helping a bunch of rookies get hooked on autocross... :D

Here's a flyer Loren put together to describe the school.

Ya'll have a look, maybe print it out and post it at work or something - we'd like to generate a little more interest if we can. If you haunt any other auto forums, please feel free to post a thread and include the flyer link.

Loren, excellent flyer! :)

I'm going to post it at my office.
The Jag complains about autoX by throwing Gearbox Faults.
I think it is just lazy.

I would love to, but can't really commit until I'm sure all of our DST problems are resolved..

Although I guess I could just go into work at midnight and stay up all night.. hmm

Thanks, guys! (Dave, got you down for a big maybe). I believe we've got us a school!

We had orginally set the entry limit to 24, but we're looking at extending it a few more - to meet demand. We have enough instructors and help to handle it...

OK It's looking pretty good for me at this point. I only have 5 more servers to update for DST problems and a few more application patches, which I should complete by this weekend so at this point next weekend looks open.

Thanks. We'll take the help - one extra for just in case won't hurt, especially if one or two folks can't make it.

That's gonna round out the staff. Only 2 student spots left open. I'm sure Loren will be letting us all know what's what before too long... :)

Please, we need a volunteer to pick up the usual water and soda for a 50-60 person event. Ice, too.

Can anyone(s) do this?

You can probably fit more in the Corrado than I can in the S2000 :P

If you can't fit a few cases I can handle that, probably not much more though..
