Safety guidelines for car audio equipment?

Postby nc4me » Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:04 am

I'm not sure if I'm just going to go with after market speakers and an amp or do subs as well. In regards to the amp. I want to mount it in the trunk. Is it okay if I run with it in the car as long as it's bolted down or do I have to totally remove it to race?

For mounting I'd say you have two options:

Mount "lightly" with an easy way to disconnect so you can yank everything out before your runs or mount everything to hardcore spec and run with it in. If it's mounted securely, it's fine.

Yeah, anything that's bolted down is good to go.

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

That's what I figured, but I just wanted to double check.
