So, my car (06 NC MX-5) is still in the body shop for repairs after being hit while parked.
It's unclear whether it will be fixed before the Dec 12 event, though I should know by tomorrow, Fri. 11.
If I cancel at the last minute, will it be cool? I would like to change my registration to run the rental car, but the wifey doesn't approve of that. Also, I won't know until the last minute if I will actually be running the rental or my car which I've already registered.
Go or no go, I would still like to attend the event on saturday and work whatever assignment I'm given.
Will it be a problem security-wise if I show up at the airport in brooksville with a different car?
How close to go-time can I change my registration if I need to run the rental? I'd rather do that than cancel, the little woman doesn't necessarily need to know.
If I cancel, can I still show up in the rental or the wifey's car and spectate/ work the event?
Thanks,
John Evans

Changing your vehicle or class at the event is no big deal. Security doesn't care what you drive, they're just interested in your name.
Run the rental car. Join the ranks of NMC Racing! (not my car) Seriously, I've autoxed rental cars a couple times, as have many others, it's no biggie. Just make sure there's plenty of air in the tires.
Cancellation policy, I think, is usually that you're fine to cancel anytime prior to online registration closing. After that, it's up to Steve to decide if your circumstances warrant an event credit. Last-minute cancellations are generally frowned upon, of course. (and no-shows suck)

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
