Wow, what another great FAST event !

Joe did a great job setting the day and making things run smoothly. AWESOME COURSE !!! Kinda tricky out there, could say some of the apexs were a bit deceiving, very nicely done, and quite fun when you could figure out the correct line 8) .

Got beat in my own car, AGAIN !! But at least it was by a respectable 3/100th of a second, still hurt, hope Loren enjoyed his meal LOL ! What a blast though, lots of fun when after each run we both were chipping away at each others run a tenth second at a time. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_06

Props again to Joe, and for Eric towing the trailer, and of course everyone else that chipped in and made this another great FAST event !!! :D

An almost perfect event! One glaring situation that I want to apologize for is that we did run out of lunch, and I honestly don't know exactly how many people were unfed. I do want to point out that this isn't really anyone's fault (certainly not Joe's), it's just that we had a lot more guests (and a few more drivers) than we'd planned for. I think it's happened like twice in the past 2 or 3 years, usually we end up with a lot of extra food. There's always a bit of guesswork at SPC.

Anyway, for those of you who were entitled to lunch today and didn't get it, please put a note on your registration for the next event so that we can make a list, and we'll reimburse you in CASH at registration. I think that's the easiest way to handle it.

I now return you to waiting for event results...

Outstanding event, noticed several newbies, all of who seemed to be having a blast, I think you guys all need a group hug as one of the best places to autocross in Florida. Every person that I've recommended FAST to, has come away pleased. :D :D

I had a great time today. Aside from the timing equipment giving us fits during the second run group, things ran really well. Nice work Joe!

I did enjoy the course. It was smooth but challenging. I believe first through third in class H was decided by three-tenths of a second. Very competitive...lots of fun!

I look forward to seeing you all in March!

Event results, go get em! Thanks to Timing Guru in Training, Ron.

And don't forget, there are only 10 slots remaining in next month's novice school, and less than two weeks to register. Jump on it, newbs! Ask anyone who's done it, you'll learn a LOT from it.

Thank you all for all the kind words, but this events success is attributed to all the great people that put in their time and efforts today. From Steve and Loren who coached me through all the preparations, all the way to John that locked the gates after the clean-up was over. Each and every person that picked up a cone is every bit a part in all of us having the fun we had.

I also want to encourage anyone that has been toying with the idea of volunteering to Chair an event, to do so. It has been a very enriching experience. I've met a lot of great people that I look forward to working with again.

I especially want to thank all the people that cleaned up after most had left. Mike and Lance signed up for the positions (thank you) but there were also 8 or 10 more that pitched in. Thank you.

See you all at the next event.

Joe

P.S. I wanna see your videos! I'll be waiting for your posts!

That was a challenging course like most good autocross track it was all about car placement. Missed fastest street tire bye one car.

Great event once again.

Beautiful weather, friendly faces, and smooth, flowing course.

Sub sandwiches were tasty, although what happened to our cuban sandwich special? Where is that Hemi driving guy???

I see SPC is on for next month too! Excellent!

Cheers!

Had a blast and I didn't even get to attend most of the event. And thanks so much for letting me take a spin in the tow pig. That had to be the most fun, single run, I've ever done. Just a blast. I've got a few random videos I shot that I'll post once I can download them to my computer (gotta find the cord). But I can post an in-truck vid! The iPhone makes for a pretty darn good in-car camera.

SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS
Thanks, Jeremy

Ran out of lunch? The shame...we actually ordered for more people than we usually do...must've been a huge crowd.

Sounds like event chair Joe did a great job. Sorry I missed it. Feel free to do another one, Joe - or anyone, we're wide open after March so pick an event and sign up!

What looked like a simple layout turned into a very challenging layout, never did find the right way around lol.

13 walk-ons, and nearly that many additional guests. The last-minute extras make planning lunch at SPC a challenge.

Reviewing the list, we actually had 14 walk-ons and 18 guests.

We had food for 90 people. That was an expected maximum of 70 drivers (which we exceeded by one), and 20 guests (which we did not exceed according to your numbers). My guess is that we had more than the "official" number of 18 guests.

Help us out, people! Pre-register both yourself AND your guests so that we get an accurate lunch count.
