Beating on a SuperStalker with a fresh clutch would be a helluva lot more fun!

Details, rules (not many) and qualifications (many) will be posted soon. Looking at doing this in conjunction with the May event... if I ever get a co-chair.

To make things a little more interesting... there will be cash prizes for the top 3 finishers. The buy-in is $20 (to cover the car expenses and prizes), first place will win $75, second place $50, and third place $25. That is... if we get enough interest to make it happen.

I don't get it Yellow_Colorz_PDT_35. Say what the event is so we can gauge interest. I'm almost scared to know what it's about Yellow_Colorz_PDT_37 .

I forgot, there are children in our midst. :P

From 1974 through 2006 (minus a couple years here and there), the "International Race Of Champions" was held annually. The best drivers in the world were invited to compete in identically prepared cars to determine who was the best of the best independent of their car.

The FAST IROC will give FAST champions the opportunity to compete in the same car on the same course for ultimate bragging rights... and a little bit of cash. (or we can all just give our money to Jeremy and be done with it :? )

I thought you'd never ask.

Being a "race of champions" has certain implications. So...

Eligible drivers will be 2010 season award winners (anyone who got a coveted FAST shirt), and since we're so late in the 2011 season, also any driver who has at least two top-3 finishes this season.

We used to see those IROC Camaro owners and think -- Italian Retard Out Cruising. But, that was in North Providence.

That would be Jeff. He's offered up the Creamsicle. Old Miatas are tough, it can handle it.

What'll level the field even more is that the Creamsicle is an automatic.
