Re: 12/19 FAST Relay Autocross @ Brooksville
Except it will barely be 50 by 9:30 when we start. And we will be sitting for I'm assuming 30+ minutes between runs so all the heat we gain will disappear by the next run.

Re: 12/19 FAST Relay Autocross @ Brooksville
Teams of 6 + 1 ringer or is that 6 total including the ringer?
Also it should be noted that the race tire guys are going to have some issues getting heat in the tires so not much of an advantage there.
Should we expect to see teams posted before the event?

Re: 12/19 FAST Relay Autocross @ Brooksville
Is that an optional turnaround? Berry interesting. Is there a difference between the bright red line and the faded red line besides just the way out vs the way back?

Also if Phillip wins and I can't pull off at least 4th he will take home a 3rd place finish in S4.
Or do I have the tiebreaker because I have more class wins? In which case I think I just need 5th (2 points).

Re: July 5th Post Event (Firecracker 8)
BTW. Did anyone ever try to do the loop Counter Clockwise for comparison? I was going to but my tires got hot and I threw in the towel a little early that day.
There were a few people in Heat 3 who tried it (i worked the turnaround heat 3). What I noticed: a) the entrance looked painful. It was ...

Re: Endurocross 2015!
Quick question: This appears to be the exact course (and course map) as last year. Are we going to start further down the runway so the course is in the same position as last year? I know we've been moved closer to the south end of the runway recently - and that locker/dumpster looking thing plus ...

Re: July 5th Post Event (Firecracker 8)
Great event. I had a fun time. Very straightforward course - just required some cojones and a good line on the return trip. Glad that the black and red Porsche (Devon's?) was OK after going into the dirt on the very first run of the heat!

GRM just published their annual Skidpad Challenge and it was won by a 9 yr old boy in a 1/4 midget on slicks 1.867g
I don't think I've ever seen Elliot Harvey use a GoPro? I'd have to put money on his loop turn with slicks, mad skills AND a light car.
Yea I would peg Elliot as a favorite ...

Re: Dan's Dilemma
Just to put it in perspective, I'm running JBR .125 on the stiffest setting, and I still want more bar. Failure of the JBR bar is rare but I have read about it. I get the feeling it's mostly from improper installation (e.g. not greasing the bushings - the will cause a hadache down the road if you ...

Re: July 5 - FAST Classic @ Brooksville
So I have a weird suggestion:
Everyone who has a GoPro or other mounted video recording device and thinks they can do the turnaround the fastest puts $1 in a pot. Whoever has the fastest time from entrance to exit through the double gate before/after the turnaround wins the pot. If nothing else I ...

Re: Dan's Dilemma
Well it seems we have a winner!
Option 2 it is then. Conti Extreme DW in 205/45-17 and a sway bar upgrade. Totally different direction than I expected but it will be great fun to try it out. I will be able to get at least one more event out of my current tires but I will order the new tires in the ...

Re: FAST 2016 Classing - Effective August 2015
While you will notice a huge difference in grip going to RS3/595RSR/Rival from what you are using now, no matter which you pick - the 595RSRs will be a few tenths slower than the other 2, they don't have the same grip. There is a reason nobody used them at national events when TW rating only had to ...

Dan 17" aren't stock on the MZ3, how wide are your wheels? If you have a 7" wheels you can pick up a set of 225/45/17 BFG Rivals for $500 with shipping, or RS3s for $50 more. A friend of mine with a Focus ST is running them for DD/autoX mixed use and has about 12k miles and about 70 runs on them and ...

I'm looking for a codrive in a decently setup rear wheel drive car, preferably something that has the ability throttle steer. If anyone is interested let me know, I'd be willing to pay money for wear and tear.

Dang. I got straight up beat. Kurtis and Ron were kicking ass. I was having trouble with the launch/slalom combo for some reason. I should have wound out 1st but for some reason I kept short shifting. And I never did get a clean run through the big loop.

Hot day today, strangely enough working the course wasn't that bad and there was a light wind.
Here is my run for today, found areas I was late, and where i can improve.
I honestly don't see a spot that you are late on anything. You're braking too ...

I would like to know why I got a DNF on my last run. I know for damn sure I wasn't off course. It should have been a +1.
