Okay, Steve and I have discussed, and here's the New Deal.

We're implementing a waiting list. To get on it, simply email the registrar. (that's me) But, before you do, check the entry list. If there are already 8 names on the wait list, we won't add more names to the list. It is rare that we see more than 2-3 cancels before pre-registration closes.

The entry list is being tracked within the system with entries placed in a "Waiting List" class. If/when there is a cancellation, the position will be filled from the waiting list in the order received.

I've already added Ed, Mario and Matt to the list:

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Rumor has it BMW might have an event but they always wait until two weeks prior to announce and open it for registration.

Good thing the novice school was canceled. The event would have filled up in 25 hours instead of 26. It would have been disastrous. :thumbwink:

I think I saw a FAST cancellation for sale on ebay last nite for $1500.

Or was that Craig's List? Have to stop surfing those places as it's addictive.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel. So I guess that's good for one lucky person who's trying to register for this event. Hah!

Anyhow, besides canceling my registration on MyAutoEvents, is there anyone else I need to contact?

That lets Ed in. Yay, we don't have to fret about the trailer getting there!

You don't need to do anything else, Gerry. Your cancellation is on record and will be transferred to the event credit list.

Sorry you can't make it.

Cool. Yea, I'm sorry I can't make it, either. I was really looking forward to this one, since I had to skip the last one due to moving. This is seriously like the only Saturday in the entire year I may need to work... what luck!

Should be another opening, Dan can't make it, just sent him another reminder to get it done so his spot doesn't get wasted.

Wait list update:

There have been two cancels. Wait list #1 got in, #2 & #3 bowed out, and #4 is in. We're at #5 of 13 on the wait list. There may yet be a few more cancels...

Thanks Loren, I know this takes a lot more effort on your part but it really helps. Next time I won't assume that I can "wait till tomorrow" to sign up.

I will talk to Steve about getting you a raise!
