Hello everyone. First time running with FAST. I registered for the afternoon session but online said morning was full. Is there no way to run both sessions?

And if not when do we arrive for the afternoon session?

AutoXed for years in a 97 GT beast, that's moved on to car heaven, and now I'm in a brand new Subaru BRZ.

Welcome, David.

Dammit. That used to be in the event info. Add one thing... accidentally edit out something else.

If the event is full, it's full. You can watch for cancellations and grab an open spot if one comes up, but that's the only way you'll get into a full session.

Running both sessions is allowed (if there are openings), you'd have to register for each separately, pay two entry fees, work two work assignments and all that. And your first session would be for "competition", the second would be for "fun".

Schedule info IS out there in the event info:

I figured as much.. That's cool, sounds like FAST runs a well oiled machine. ;)

Why time do I need to arrive for lunch/ afternoon session?

Looking forward to making it out to an event with you guys again...it's been a looooooooong time!

The registration website was great - all the info I needed was present (time to arrive and schedule for the day). Thanks!

Looking forward to a good time and a little more technical challenge than the Corvette club =)

Oh, sorry, forgot to answer that question.

But, yeah, the schedule is all out there on the event info page.

Thanks for the backup, Matt! :thumbwink:

Does TBD have lights we can turn on for setup? 'Cause there will be a plethora of dark.

There are light poles. Must be lights. :)

I'll swing by there and check, but I think the lights are on every night for security.

So, I forgot to sign up for the morning session while traveling for work. It's full now and I can't stick around for the second group due to appointments I have every Saturday. Is there a waiting list I can get on for the morning runs if someone drops out? I didn't see an option for it anywhere.

Sorry, Andrew. No waiting list. You can check the registration list frequently (or check the forum, sometimes people post here when then cancel) and jump on an open spot if you see the count go below 50.

We make it far too easy for anyone to get notified of when registration opens and get signed up early for the session of their choice. No excuses, no waiting list. If you want to receive that email notification, you can subscribe to it right on our website. Look in the right sidebar of the home page. It's been available for a couple years now, nothing new.

%&^$! Apparently I missed the boat. I'm new at this, so I had no idea about the automatic notifications.
How exactly do you do this? If I just add an event to 'my calendar' will it notify me by email when the reg opens?

Forget it. Figured out event reminders by reading some older threads.

So I signed up for the late session but it's doubtful for me. If anyone wants to switch am/pm or is dropping out of the early, I'm interested.

I'm not sure what putting an event on "your calendar" on MAE does. I know it gets you on the email list for that event, but I don't often use that feature unless something changes for an event and I need to let all the registered people know about.

What I was talking about was on the FAST website, which I guess you found.

Only 9 spots remain open in the Afternoon session. Morning is full.

Have a look at the entry lists. If you see anyone missing that you normally expect to be there, now's the time to rattle their cage.

Unfortunately, no -- it'll remind you that the event's happening the night before, but it won't remind you registration is opening or closing. That's why Loren set up the mailing list, which is easy to sign up for.

Might be a good time for those of you who haven't done anything for a FAST event to step up and help both Steve and Loren.

This is the second "local" event I've only seen two names on calling the shots.

Hint. Hint.

Don't worry, Doug. We ask for help when we need it.

Speaking of such... you wanna do the lunch thing for this event?

I realized yesterday that something got left out of the event info this time around. The bit about car numbers, Early session being EVEN and Late session being ODD. We had to do that to prevent number duplication between sessions that messes with the timing system and makes Ron grumpy. So, if you notice that your number has been changed, that's probably why. Be sure to check the reg list so you know what number you are actually assigned. (for those of you who are old enough, this is like the Outer Limits... we control the horizontal, we control the vertical, we control what number you get)

But, you don't care about any of that, you want to see the course map! Steve did the primary design work on this one. (yes, I added a little Loren evilness goodness to it.)
