Looking forward to this! Hope the weather is in our favor, but if not I'm prepared to take on the rain this time! No more water-sucking intakes! :thumbwink:

Gotta get my car back together this weekend. Ended up scoring a nice 3-core all aluminum radiator while I had the front apart dealing with my fan issue. Either the PCM or wiring harness is going bad. One quick switch install to the fan relays and all looks to be working. Just plug in the radiator, fill with coolant and fire her up! Old cars, what a PITA. And it's not even a six-speed. Oh why didn't I sell this car and get a manual after my first autocross in it? :whip:

Wait, wouldn't a "stick shift" Vette be even more sexy? lol

ONLY if it's not circumsized? OR if circumsized with pinking shears. That's best.

Only about 20 slots left in the Late session, and they're steadily going away. If you're not registered yet, you might want to do so very soon. If you are registered, check the registration lists and see if your friends and competitors are there. Some people may need a reminder.

Registration closes Wednesday.

Guess what? I found the source of my coolant leak, my radiator tanks are separating from the core. How is that for awesomeness? :*(

I can only hope the replacement gets here in time for the race. I ordered a KOYO 37mm all aluminium unit, I'm expecting it in 3-5 business days provided it isn't back-ordered.

Know what else? The unit that failed was a KOYO replacement unit with plastic tanks, less than 8 years old. Sometimes you can't win for losing. :headscratch:

When Mazda radiators turn brown they are dead/brittle. I'm surprised you got home without a tow. I had the main return come off in my hand when I squeezed it in my 99. Luckily I was in my driveway. Cost of doing business. They keep them in stock at Advance Auto for cheap OEM if you really want to go racing Saturday. The one for my Grey8 goes in from the bottom only = PIA so I went with all aluminum too.

Joe, your expectations of a replacement plastic-tank radiator are high.

Isn't your Miata a '99? What's that, 15 years old? If the REPLACEMENT lasted ~8 years... that means the ORIGINAL lasted ~7 years. Why would you expect more from the replacement that was made the same way from the same materials?

Joe V...looks like its my turn in the barrel...

ABS light illuminated today. Add that to my untested suspension and the 14,000 mile Rivals that are nearly bald...I just give up...

Looks like Joe B may have M1 locked up...Joe-you might just take this Saturday off-celebrate your 1st place Championship...no, seriously have a cold one on me...

Looks like Joe and Tim are trying to get us to let our guards down?

I got a set of tires from Tirerack in less than 24 hours last week from Atlanta. ABS light usually means a bad connector requiring some light grease. Who uses brakes in autocross other than the finish anyhow? I can get a MX5 radiator from Advance Auto by driving to the corner shop 2 miles away and a Miata is a 1/2 hour job:)

Nice try guys. We will still have fun driving fast no matter what. You know there will be probably 5 runs on this course right?

Let me know if you wind up needing a car, you can co drive with me in the MSM. It's like your old Vette, except half the horsepower and a third the torque on factory suspension... Ok so it's rear wheel drive like the Vette. [emoji23]

Can't wait for this weekend. Haven't been out in months. Where the hell did all these late model stangs in M2 come from? Love it!

Guess who's moving to M1? This will likely be a shakedown weekend for me as I'll be testing new suspension.

20 cars registered in M1 for this weekend. WOW :o

Loren, are you the only car in M0? Why not run M1 and make it 21 cars!

Hey, there are exactly TWO slots left in the afternoon session, and registration closes this evening. If you're not registered yet, what are you waiting for???
