Mike I drove your Hi bread only once, nearly drove it straight off the course once and have never forgotten how to drive that little monster. "Carefully" and using the accelerator for steering mostly!! Welcome back.bluesight wrote:3 weeks?? I just came out of 8 months! It's taken a couple weeks to recover..

Your car weighs so little you don't need any air except to keep the bead from sucking in like an old man's stomach at a beach.Loren wrote:Speaking of tire pressure. I checked mine yesterday.

and you get to join the other insights that have been popping up at events !bluesight wrote:3 weeks?? I just came out of 8 months! It's taken a couple weeks to recover...low 12V and hybrid batteries (hopefully all charged now), a clogged idle air control valve (constant P0505 codes), and misc other issues. But I'm ready (maybe)...crud cleaned off and a new set of tires. Now I just need to remember how to work this thing. And I have to unlearn my rear-drive Miata tricks...
See you all Sunday...

One of them is a little different spec than the others.

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.

Insight Insights...Cheap ($2K to $5K), Economical (50MPG+), Aluminum (mostly...don't rust...up north anyway), Performance automatic - CVT (daily driver for wife...and me), Hard to spend a lot on upgrades (since not many exist...unless you want a K20sight), Can last a long time (it's a Honda after all...mine's at 200K), And a great conversation piece (at least until there are enough for the secret Insight class to be official), And it can be fun to AX.
I won't bother with the challenges...but watch for occasional wheels breaking off...

So Mike is one guy who actually ran the wheel off a Honda!! He and Jamie are in an apparent Honda longevity showdown with the Prelude ahead of the Insight?? Both of those cars have premature names. Mike didn't see the wheel thing coming. Poor Insightbluesight wrote:..but watch for occasional wheels breaking off...
We have all broken a car or two driven at the airport and other places for sure. Racing.

Except I've retired the Prelude from chasing cones. Still drive it around, and the occasional long road trip.twistedwankel wrote:He and Jamie are in an apparent Honda longevity showdown with the Prelude ahead of the Insight??
