I agree about the drive, but more due to the weather. Being at wear bars on the highway on RE-71's is very scary. I had to drop my speed to around 60 because I felt the car just gliding over the water. Kinda spookyEvil MS3 wrote: Sun May 05, 2019 7:55 am This was my first time out to Dunnellon. The surface conditions of that place are.... different. Lol Had to figure out a whole different way to drive the car.
The drive home suuuuuucked.
Thanks all for putting on another good event.

I blame the -3.9 camber up front. That's pretty much like having 1 and a half rain grooves.twistedwankel wrote:CaptainSquirts wrote:I felt the car just gliding over the water. Kinda spooky .Apparently the modern AWD is inferior to the ones in '90's cars with mechanical LSD's and magic oil in the transfer case? R DOT tires only had two rain grooves driven to and from local events. They did take longer to stop tho' even with ABS.
Gotcha. Never known anyone who didn't change camber and toe for the highway or just trailer the car to and from events to save the tires. A first for everything.CaptainSquirts wrote:I blame the -3.9 camber up front.
Time for dedicated daily tires!CaptainSquirts wrote:I blame the -3.9 camber up front. So which freaked her out more - the spin, or the fact that you were looking at her and talking in mid-spin?Evil MS3 wrote:Sure enough, first run on the way to the cross over the rear gave out, and as we were mid spin I looked at her and said "I lied."
