I don't know what the complaints are about the course not opening up for walking until 9:10 am. I left the registration gate at 9am, set up and got my car teched, helped Howard set up the monitor, walked the course twice and was able to pass out awards at 9:50am. If I can do all these things in 50 minutes, then I can't see why anyone else can't do this. :?:

I was off course once because I thought the Chicago Box was a gate, but I made my adjustments and never went off course again. This course was a definietly a "look ahead" course because of the speed, and there were a few areas that were disceptive.

I don't understand how you could not think the course open at 8:15 isn't better than 9:10. If it's not possible, then it's not possible. Oh well.

But it will definitely be better. Less crowded course, more time to take multiple, leisurely walks, more time for guided walkthrough, more reason for people to show up before 9AM, more time to discuss maneuvers with different people, gear selection, line, etc.

We could only have the course open for walking 15 minutes and get by. But it won't be the best scenario for people to learn anything.

I see your point, more time is always better, especially when it comes to Novices and "green drivers".

But when a hack driver like me can walk the course twice and be able to navigate it, then seasoned drivers shouldn't have a problem with a limited amount of time to walk it. The only way we're going to have more time, is to have more people show up at 7:30 and help set up the course even if it isn't their "job assignment". So can we count on you to help set up the next event course?
