Re: November 9 - SPC

I did a quick search and only found a post from 2007 dealing with additional guests. So, what's the current protocol for including a guest after registration has closed? If memory serves me correct, walk-ups and money-handling at the gate has been eliminated?

If a guest can't be added, what's the ...

Re: Sept 14 - SPC

I see my car number has been assigned as 707. Is 700 reserved or otherwise taken or may I change my number? If not, I guess I can make a couple more magnetic 7's.

Also, hi guys! ...after a year off. TS Debbie last year flooded out my car and it was one thing after another after that. Car's still a ...

Re: SPC 9-15

So, which was the better slalom path? Left or right of the first cone? I always went to the left and never tried the other way, but when I was working the course at station 4, I had a great view of a lot of people apparently trying "the other way" and being surprised at the curve. Plenty of off ...

Out of 3500 pictures, 229 decent ones. That's photography.

Re: July 22nd at SPC

To whoever grabbed my cancellation, you're welcome. I had to cancel because I killed my car during TS Debbie by driving into a flooded street. Since I have a brand new engine now, I'm giving it a little break-in period before Autocrossing again.

However, I will drop by with Sarah for most of the ...

Re: March 18 SPC

Edit: Also, I KNOW there were more photos taken than the handful posted so far. There was a guy walking around with an L Series lens on his Canon. :)

Heads up to the event chairs, I have a friend that's a photo buff. Him and his wife are coming out for the whole day to shoot photos. They will ...

Re: March 17 - School post-event

It was pretty exhausting being a courseworker, being on your feet for so long. But, I was surprised at seeing the marked improvement of the students as they progressed. I would volunteer for the school again.

Re: Event Pre-Reg... what to do?

Since this thread is on the topic of the growth of FAST, has anyone run the numbers to see what th break-even point is to run an event? I mean, aside from the equipment, the labor cost is all in-house, community labor. So as long as there are enough entrants to cover the facility (and maybe ...

The event page on MAE says No Passengers at this event. Is this correct?

Re: Run groups

If 71 people show up to race, 1 person is getting turned away?

If an event sells out, a person has to get there early, get on a list and then wait around until 9 or 9:15 and hope someone doesn't show up.
This is what a "fun" club does to people? This sounds like one of those "BS" clubs. :)

Here's some pics taken from the event:

I am surprised by my times. Going from 2nd-to-last to 4th in my class is a real shocker. Money well spent on tires, I must assume.

My car and I had a really good time. It's the first time I've been able to experience oversteer - a good lesson to learn.

Re: Trailer cleaning party!!!!

Many hands make light work.

Inventory as I saw it:

68 coke/pepsi
12 "sprite"
35 water

No plastic forks, they needed to be disposed.
No paper towels
Sufficient garbage bags

Safety vests are not present. I know they had been taken for washing after the last event. Just mentioning it here.
